Discussion about Technology For today's class all of us previously read  Use of Technology in English Language Teaching and Learning. And now we will have an analysis with the opinions of all of us. After hearing the different points of view and everyone's opinion on this matter we came up with pretty much the same conclusion, Even though we live in a modern world and we need without a doubt technology in our everyday lives, we cannot let it take over control, it already is hard to keep human contact between students and the teacher and if we are not careful technology could take away the human part of the teaching/learning process. Presenting the first project Las week we worked a little on the use of Word and PPP to teach English. And today we had to present our project: creating an activity using one of those to teach. First we had to choose a Target content, in this case Fernanda and I thought it would work out nicely to do it with Achievements of our national athletes for tenth graders. We came up with the idea of the student creating a Power Point presentation using facts of the athletes of their choice and create a True/False game, as shown in the following image: Our classmates also presented their activities and all of them did a great job! For next class we have to read the article Use of Technology in English Language Teaching and Learning, we  wil have a discussion about thi next class.That is everything for today!  Valeria Zúñiga

The day we met Storybird The previous week we did not have a regular class, just some discussion of how it was going to be and the teacher talked about Storybird ... for today's class we used this webpage for the first time, and we created our own presentations. the way this webpage works is pretty simple but really pretty, you shoose the art you want and afterwards you edit the pages on your "story book". I really liked it, but it does not have many editing features, so it is not possible to customize the designs as much as one would like to.  I will attacth the link to my story in the following image: I think it is a nice tool to be used with students and I will definitely use it again in the future. We also had a quiz this day... I read the article the teacher sent us The Impact of Using Technology in Teaching English as a Second Language and I learned a lot of useful information I also think I did pretty well in the quiz. I got a 100 :) V...

Oh the waiting... In today's class we found out who the teacher is after all the waiting... Christian Navarro! This is the first time I have a class with him, the teacher seeems nice and I look forward for the rest of the course. The teacher sent two articles to our emails, and we discussed about the way the course is going to be developed troughout the quarter. Also we visited the website Storybird and have an assigment (creating our story explaining the article using storybird) and a quiz for next week's class. That is all I have to report for today. May 12th Introduction Before starting to write down mi thoughts on this class, I think it is neccessary to make a brief introduction. This is kind of like my personal journal about what I learned and how I felt throughout the process of this class, it has a little bit of a humorous touch because that it just the way I am. I added gif reactions to everyday of class to illustrate my feelings. The First Day This Friday was supposed to be the first day of class, sadly some mistakes were made (the university's administration should be blamed) and we did not have class that day.
