Presenting the Second Project

This poject had to be based on the "Programas de Inglés para educación tecnica" we exactly took it from here. On page 68 we found this.

Afterwards we came up with the idea of the students creating their ideal holiday destination, they would have to describe the country, the prices, culture, leisure activities and why they would like to go there creating an emaze presentation. This webpage is an amazing online tool to create presentations, we got away from what we usually do on PPP or prezi. This page has amazing 3D animations and many ways of personalizing the presentations. We presented this example. And our classmates also presented their own amazing ideas.

Discussion about Technology For today's class all of us previously read  Use of Technology in English Language Teaching and Learning. And now we will have an analysis with the opinions of all of us. After hearing the different points of view and everyone's opinion on this matter we came up with pretty much the same conclusion, Even though we live in a modern world and we need without a doubt technology in our everyday lives, we cannot let it take over control, it already is hard to keep human contact between students and the teacher and if we are not careful technology could take away the human part of the teaching/learning process. Week 4

Presenting the first project Las week we worked a little on the use of Word and PPP to teach English. And today we had to present our project: creating an activity using one of those to teach. First we had to choose a Target content, in this case Fernanda and I thought it would work out nicely to do it with Achievements of our national athletes for tenth graders. We came up with the idea of the student creating a Power Point presentation using facts of the athletes of their choice and create a True/False game, as shown in the following image: Our classmates also presented their activities and all of them did a great job! For next class we have to read the article Use of Technology in English Language Teaching and Learning, we  wil have a discussion about thi next class.That is everything for today!  Valeria Zúñiga
